How Mobile Play Works at Snatch

Last updated: October 11, 2026

We built Snatch to run in a browser tab, not inside an app you have to install, update and eventually delete when your phone storage runs low. Here is exactly how it works, what you need, and how to make it faster on the move.

Why we skip the app store

Snatch is a browser-based casino. There is no APK to sideload on Android and no app to hunt for on the App Store, because app stores in the UK and elsewhere restrict real-money casino apps and the approval process can take months. Instead, we put the same engineering effort into our mobile site that most operators put into a native app. The slots, live tables and cashier all run through your phone's browser, which means you get updates the moment we ship them, not weeks later when an app update finally clears review.

This also solves a storage problem. A native casino app with high-definition slot assets can run to several hundred megabytes. Our browser site loads what it needs for the game you are playing and clears it when you move on, so it has a far lighter footprint on your phone.

Devices and browsers that work well

Snatch is built on responsive HTML5, the same standard used by most modern UK retail and banking sites, so it adapts to your screen rather than forcing you into a fixed layout. In practice, this covers the overwhelming majority of phones and tablets in use in the UK today.

Tested device and browser combinations
Device typeRecommended browserNotes
iPhone (iOS 15+)Safari or ChromeFull game library, Face ID can speed up login if saved in your browser's password manager
Android phone (Android 10+)Chrome or Samsung InternetFull game library, works on mid-range and flagship handsets alike
iPad / Android tabletSafari or ChromeLarger screen suits live dealer tables and megaways grids particularly well
Older handsets (4-5 years+)Chrome recommendedGame library loads but high-volatility slots with heavy animation may run a touch slower

We do not require the newest handset. If your phone can comfortably run mobile banking or video streaming apps, it will run Snatch. Keeping your browser itself updated, rather than the casino, is the main thing that affects performance, since browser updates bring the graphics and security improvements our games rely on.

Setting up play on your phone

  • Open your phone's browser and go to the Snatch site directly, rather than through a search result, to avoid landing on an out-of-date cached page.
  • Log in with your usual details, or register in a couple of minutes if you are new. See our registration page for the full account setup process.
  • Use the menu icon, usually top left or top right depending on screen size, to reach Games, Bonus, Promotions and Payments without the page reloading.
  • Turn your phone to landscape for live dealer tables if you want a bigger view of the cards and the dealer feed.
  • Check your connection before a live session. Live dealer streaming uses more data than slots and needs a steadier connection to avoid buffering.

Saving Snatch to your home screen

You can add Snatch to your phone's home screen so it opens like an app, without ever going through an app store. This is a standard browser feature, not anything specific to Snatch, and it takes under a minute to set up.

  • On iPhone: open Snatch in Safari, tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen, scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then confirm the name and tap Add.
  • On Android with Chrome: open Snatch, tap the three-dot menu in the top right, tap Add to Home screen, then Install or Add to confirm.
  • On Android with Samsung Internet: open Snatch, tap the menu, choose Add page to, then select Home screen.
  • Once added, the Snatch icon sits alongside your other apps and opens straight into the site in a full-screen view, with no browser address bar cluttering the screen.

Managing data use on the move

Live dealer tables, with their continuous video feed, use noticeably more data than slots. If you are playing on a mobile data allowance rather than home Wi-Fi, a few habits make a real difference over a month.

  • Prefer Wi-Fi for live dealer sessions where you can, and save mobile data for slots and table games, which use far less bandwidth per spin or hand.
  • Close other data-sn1eju apps, particularly video or music streaming, before starting a live table session so your connection is not split between two demanding tasks.
  • If your browser offers a 'lite' or data-sniv45 mode, it can reduce image and video quality slightly in exchange for lower data use, which is a sensible trade-off on a train or in an area with patchy signal.
  • Keep an eye on your network's signal bars during live play. A weak signal causes buffering before it causes a dropped connection, so dropping to a slot game at the first sign of lag protects your session.
  • If a round disconnects mid-way, your account and balance are not affected. Log back in and check your account history, and contact our support team if a result looks unclear.

Battery and screen tips for longer sessions

Casino play, like any screen-on activity with animation and sound, draws more battery than reading or messaging. A few small adjustments help if you are planning a longer session away from a charger: lower your screen brightness a notch, turn on battery saver mode if your phone offers one that does not block background data, and consider muting in-game sound effects and using your phone's own music or silence instead, which can reduce the processing load slightly on older handsets.

Account security on a shared or public connection

If you play on public Wi-Fi, such as in a café or on a train, treat your Snatch login the same way you would online banking. Avoid saving your password in a browser on a shared or borrowed device, log out fully when you finish a session rather than just closing the tab, and turn on any two-step verification we offer on your account for an extra layer of protection. Our payments page has more detail on keeping your cashier activity secure while you deposit or withdraw from a mobile connection.

Full game library, same bonus terms

Everything available on desktop is available on mobile: the same slots, megaways titles and live tables from Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Push Gaming, Play'n GO, NetEnt and Relax Gaming, and the same welcome package and ongoing promotions. There is no separate mobile-only bonus and no mobile penalty on wagering requirements. Check the Bonus page and Promotions page for current offers, which apply equally whether you play on a laptop or a phone screen. T&Cs apply, 18+.

How Mobile Play Works at Snatch

Do I need to download an app to play Snatch on my phone?

No. Snatch runs entirely in your phone's browser. There is no app to download from an app store, which also means no app storage taken up and no separate app updates to manage.

Which phones and browsers work best with Snatch?

Most modern phones and tablets handle Snatch well, including iPhones on Safari or Chrome and Android devices on Chrome or Samsung Internet. Keeping your browser updated matters more than having the newest handset.

How do I add Snatch to my home screen?

On iPhone, open Snatch in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android with Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen. This creates a shortcut icon, not a separately installed app.

Does mobile play use a lot of data?

Live dealer tables use more data than slots because of the video stream. Playing live tables on Wi-Fi where possible, and saving mobile data for slots and table games, keeps your usage down.

Is the mobile site missing any games or bonuses compared to desktop?

No. The full game library from all our providers and every current promotion, including the welcome package, are the same on mobile and desktop. T&Cs apply, 18+.
